In a tragic accident in the Başiskele district of Kocaeli, a car that collided with a barrier ended up under a truck. The driver of the car lost their life after a 12-day struggle. The funeral of Turgay Arıcan, who lost his life in the accident, will take place today.

The driver of the car that collided with a barrier and ended up under a truck in Başiskele district of Kocaeli lost their life after a 12-day struggle. The accident occurred on February 11th at the passage of D-100 Highway in Ovacık Neighborhood towards Ankara.

The BMW car with license plate 41 ST 532, driven by Turgay Arıcan (25), allegedly lost control due to excessive speed and collided with the barrier on the roadside. The swerving car went under the trailer of a DAF truck with license plate 25 LT 445, also traveling in the same direction. Due to the impact, the truck and the car were dragged for 200 meters. Turgay Arıcan, who was transported to the hospital by emergency medical teams called to the scene, lost his life after a 12-day struggle. Arıcan's funeral will be held today at Alikahya Hayırseverler Mosque following the afternoon prayer.
