Prominent Businessman Mehmet Döker from Kocaeli Takes His Own Life

A widely known figure in Kocaeli, Mehmet Döker, the owner of Kartepe Forest Products, ended his life yesterday evening at his workplace.

The incident occurred yesterday evening at the Kartepe Forest Products business located in the Köseköy area of Kartepe district. It was learned that after arriving at his workplace, Mehmet Döker committed suicide with his personal firearm. Upon hearing the gunshot, employees rushed to the scene and immediately notified health and law enforcement teams. Despite all interventions, the young businessman could not be saved.

According to the information obtained, Mehmet Döker, the owner of Kartepe Forest Products, grandson of Mehmet Döker, known as Adanalı Mehmet from the İzmit Mehmet Ali Pasha neighborhood, and son of Hüseyin Döker, shot himself with his licensed firearm at his workplace.

COULD NOT BE SAVED Immediately after the tragic incident, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon the employees' report of the gunshot. Despite all efforts by the medical teams who arrived at the scene, 32-year-old Mehmet Döker could not be saved.

FUNERAL TOMORROW Mehmet Döker's funeral will take place tomorrow (Monday, August 5) following the noon prayer at Mehmet Ali Pasha Central Mosque and will be buried in Asri Cemetery.
